I bought laminated plastic sheets but I’m having a hard time setting it up because the plastic won’t attach to the surface of the table.

You have to sand the table top and remove the dust. Then you glue the laminate to the table after you have cut it to size. Lay something fairly heavy on the laminate so that it doesn’t curl and let the glue dry for about 48 hrs.
Apply Contact Cement to back of laminate and top of table.
(follow instructions on back of product “for set up time”)
-when the Contact Cement has “set up”, have someone help you manouvre the laminate sheet over the table “for perfect placement”.
