The Seal 54 EL entry-level laminator comes equipped with all basic functions. The device is perfectly suited for the professional application of high-quality finishing and protective films, as well as double-sided adhesive films. Thanks to the well-proven technology built into the machine — for example, two silicone rollers provide a high level of uniform quality — this powerful model reliably processes pressure-activated materials up to a thickness of 25 millimeters. The maximum width is 1400 millimeters; while the working speed can reach four meters per minute.

Q&A: Will lamination ruin an official seal?

Question by CourtneyMT: Will lamination ruin an official seal?
I have a few papers I need to laminate. I have a hot lamination machine. I’m just wondering if the one paper which has an official embossed seal will be ok going through the laminator or if the raised parts will be flattened. Has anyone ever tried this before?

Sorry, but you really should never laminate official documents. The embossed seal is there to verify it’s authenticity, and laminating, though you will still see the outline, will smooth it out. I made the mistake of laminating my birth certificate, and I have already had difficulty with the authorities more than once when I needed to provide it. The same goes for Social Security card, marriage certificate, etc. If you prefer to keep your official documents safe, try a plastic sheet protector instead. See link.
