laminating a paper for a purse?

i want to make a purse from magazine covers but im not sure if i actually have to go through all the trouble of trying to find a machine is there some type of iron on lamonating thing this would really help if so where would you purchase it from ? and is it cheap and how do you use it thanxz bunches.
i also need it not to tear

    If you don’t want to get a specific laminator thingey – have you thought about using clear sticky back plastic?

    This sort of stuff, I mean:

    Take your magazine covers to an office supply store or copy place. Many of them have large laminating machines that can do the work you need, and it should be low in cost.

    This sounds like it would be an interesting project. I’ve seen purses made out of drink pouches that work just fine. Yours would be a little more stylish, though.

    One suggestion: With laminate, you may need to reinforce the stitching, or use a liner to protect the seams. I don’t know if it’s as strong as the juice pouches.

    I bought 2 sheets of laminating at Ben Franklin for under $2.00.

    you can get self adhesive laminating sheets from office max, or office depot.
